Rock walls in Loveland manufactured locally in Colorado

Colorado Hardscapes’ di Giacomo group worked with ECI Site Construction, Logan Simpson Design and the City of Loveland to create the playground walls at Mehaffey Park. Through many conversations, meetings and budgeting, they finally came to the solution to use GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete) rock panels to create the walls in this playground instead of stacked boulders. Using the di Giacomo maquette method and rock castings, the team at di Giacomo/Colorado Hardscapes created structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and naturally playful playground walls out of concrete. In addition to the walls, the crew also crafted the Sandscape and cobble streambed and the custom concrete log structures.
